Holiday Season 2016: Part 1

We had an action packed, adventurous holiday season. It started with a trip to San Diego during the week before Xmas. We visited Nai-Nai, and baked holiday sugar cookies.

Da Boys surprised Nai-Nai with a Christmas gift.

We had a slumber party in San Clemente with the Mirski family. All the children got along so well. Nicole taught Casey how to makes eggs for breakfast.

We returned home on Christmas eve; left Santa a note...

Apparently, Da Boys were good (enough) throughout the year, because Santa came, and even left Da Boys a return note... And ate the cookies and milk we left for him.

I guess Da Boys didnt think they were all that good all year long, because they sure were surprised on Christmas morning, once they realized the Santa visited. The big gift from Santa this year was the Nintendo 3DS!

Christmas Travels

On Christmas Day, we attempted to chase Santa's Sleigh around the world took a road trip that began in Torrance, went to Victorville and ended in San Diego. In Victorville, we gathered the cousins and had them pose for photos before letting them tear into their gifts. Of course there is a requisite "silly face" photo.

This picture capture that moment that anticipation and amazement cross.

Its never too early for life lessons. The kids were "Making it Rain" with their Christmas money.

Then it was off to San Diego, where Da Boys watched Nai-Nai and Ye-Ye open their new calendar..

And while it might look warm, the wind was howling with quite a chill, so we bundled Ye-Ye up while we watched Da Boys play and climb trees.

Christmas 2015

In the days leading up to Christmas, Sydney wrote a letter to Santa. Apparently, he felt responsible for two broken Christmas ornaments.

We left Santa some treats and some milk....

Santa came, put plenty of gifts under the Christmas tree, filled the stockings... drank some milk (apparently, he likes chocolate milk, just like Mommy) ... and left Da Boys a note... Oh, and left a special bag for Sydney...

Da Boys eagerly tore into their gifts, and Sydney immediately wanted to build his new Scooby-Doo Lego set.

Christmas 2014

I felt like a kid during Christmas Eve. I was so excited, I couldn't sleep. I was so excited to see how Da Boys would react on Christmas morning. I desperately wanted to be awake before Da Boys and be downstairs, in position to capture their reactions. See for yourself...

This was the absolute BEST part of Christmas. Seeing the amazement, joy, shock on their faces when they realized "He came!"
